AstroFamilies is a project by Speak Science to entertain the whole family with science, space and astronomy. The bet is to organize a different, specific scientific activity for parents and children (8 to12 years old), in order to encourage the family to talk about black holes, stars and planets instead of just watching TV.
The scientific and educational contents of the project are studied by Speak Science members and researchers working at INAF-IAPS and at the Roma Tre University.

In each monthly meeting, AstroFamilies deals with a different topic of science and space exploration, including conferences, scientific games, hands on activities, astronomical observations and other activities.  The project can include the use of new technologies such as the spherical projector Planets in a room or the Planetarium.
